Make this miracle cake release mix to make sure your cakes never stick to the pan and slip right out. This mix is the answer to all your cake-sticking-to-the-pan woes and is 100% fail-proof!
Do you struggle with cakes that stick to the pan? Yes? Then read on..I’m guessing most of us at some point in life have baked a cake that stuck to the pan and there was nothing we could do to salvage it. All we could do was pick up the pieces (literally) and eat it that way or throw it in the trash. To avoid this sticky situation (pun intended) we’re required to grease our pans with butter or oil, dust it with flour, put parchment paper at the bottom and what not. Now, I don’t know about you but to me that’s a A LOT of work. This whole “preparing the tin” feels as tedious as baking the cake sometimes so I looked up the alternatives and guess what? There is one that in all senses is a miracle. This Cake Release Mix – it’s a miracle because all you need to do is brush this cake release mix generously on your tin and you’re done! No greasing, dusting or parchment paper bullshit. This mix makes sure that your cakes never stick to the pan and is extremely easy to make at home. So do away with dusting and greasing or buying yards of parchment paper because you don’t need none of that now. This cake release mix is the simplest and surest way to demould cakes and is 100% fail-proof.
It all sounds too good to be true, right? It did to me to me too at first but then I gave it a shot and trust me, I’ve never gone back to the old means. My cakes demould like a dream..no nudging required! This mix is also embarrassingly easy to make, all you need is some all purpose flour, butter and vegetable oil. You mix it all up and store it in an airtight jar. When you’re ready to bake, just brush some of the mixture on your cake tin, pour your batter and bake as normal. That’s it! Miracle, right?!
In case you’re wondering that’s a very basic vanilla sponge that I made for my grand mom and it slipped right out of the pan! ThisΒ Miracle Cake Release Mix takes about 5 minutes to prepare and makes about 20 cakes (or more; I’m not sure because this thing is never ending). If you’re intrigued and are dying to try it out, here’s the method to make it at home.
- β’ Vegetable Oil, ½ cup
- β’ All Purpose Flour, ½ cup
- β’ Softened Butter, ⅓ cup
- Mix all the ingredients in a jar and store in an airtight container at room temp.
- TO USE: Simply brush your pan/tin with the cake release mix generously, pour your batter and bake as usual. No parchment paper, additional dusting or greasing necessary.

I so have to try this. Most of the time, I forget to prepare the pan until I’m done with the cake batter so I have to quickly cut out parchment paper, grease and flour the tins while the batter just sits around. This will make life so much easier. Thanks!
Yes!! That happened to me too and SO OFTEN. This mix takes care of that! π

How long would d mix stay? Havta freeze it rite?
Hi Tasneem! No that’s not necessary. Store it at room temp. I made mine a month back and it’s still perfect. π
May i know for how long the mixture will last??
Hi! It lasts for pretty long. I made mine like a month back and it’s still on top position (even in the summers). I doubt it’ll rot for next month or two!
In the sense for how long it can be stored, without getting expired??
